About Me

Jon St John: Providence, Rhode Island, United States; Hello, my name is Jonathan K. St. John. Growing up I was surrounded by many people from many different cultures. I lived in a predominately Portuguese and Hispanic neighborhood, my church community was comprised on mainly of West Indians and African Americans, and I attended an Irish high school. Throughout high school and college I also played rugby. This game is very popular in the UK and countries that were colonized by England. In my nine years of playing I have come into contact, in most cases literally, with players from the UK, Spanish, Argentina, France, Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji. In high school I took language classes in Spanish, French, and Hebrew. I entered college as an international business major and then a duel major in French and Finance. Through my college years I continued my studies in French as well as Chinese. Also I have taken classes on world religions and culture. My love for understanding cultures has taken me to Canada, the Caribbean, Belgium, France, and Germany and I know this will not be the end of my travels as I make plans to go to England, Holland, Italy, and Poland.
